About

Hello! I am a stay at home mom to three children and a certified elementary school teacher. I dream of madeleines and macarons created in my home kitchen. I love to challenge myself to create new confections. I’m not a culinary expert but I’m inspired by many who are like Dorie Greenspan, Sarabeth Levine, Sherry Yard, and Martha Stewart. What you’ll find here are weekly posts of my attempts to teach myself the finer points of baking while enjoying every sweet bite along the way. I’m so glad you stopped by!

  31. Very very very nice blog… We checked some of your recipes, there are all awsome… We also make some recipes similar with yours (ours are tradiational). But that similarity shows us that “there is no language of taste”…

We love your recipes. You can check ours at http://www.ye-mek.in (English). Orjinal version is in Turkish, that’s why I share link.

  44. Thanks for stopping by my blog coz that way I’ve discovered yours. Love the idea of the Hummingbird cake…..can’t wait to try it.

  45. Hi
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my ‘Scones’ post. The Hummingbird cake looks delicious and I will definitely try it.

  46. The Hummingbird Cake is so unusual that I thought my mom was the only one who made it! The only problem I have with being a baker on the rise is the scale seems to rise also! Thanks for liking my post “Fresh is Always Better”.

    • I try to bake something indulgent like a cake only once a month to keep the scale in balance. If I didn’t have to worry about any health implications I would probably want to bake something good every day 🙂 The hummingbird cake was new to me but it seems to have a long Southern tradition.

  47. I’m a fan and so I’ve just nominated you for the Food Stories Award.. Check it out at http://foodstoriesblog.com/food-stories-award/
